The deadline for the Skaftfell Artist-in-Residence program in 2016 expired on September 1 and over120 applications were received. A selection panel will review the applications and selected artists will be announced in the coming weeks.
The aim of the program is to support the creative process of artists and give them space and time to work on their artistic creation. The program is self-directed with the possibility of support from the staff at Skaftfell, who can assist participants in pursuing and realizing artistic research and practice.
The selected artists are Skaftfells connection to the international art world and actively take part in the public program in many ways: with exhibitions, open studios, artists talks and educational program.
