In conjunction with the exhibition opening of Icelandic artists Eyborg Gudmundsdottir and Eyglo Hardardottir, Skaftfell will launch its seventh educational project. Since 2007 the Center has produced a total of six visual art educational activities tailored to the needs of the primary schools in East Iceland. This time, Icelandic artist Karlotta Blondal will teach a traveling workshop Perception lab for color and shape. The workshop will introduce students to artworks of Gudmundsdottir and Hardardottir and provide them with methods for studying the properties of color and shape. The workshop is available to the schools free of charge and is funded by the East Iceland Regional Development program, the Children Association Sumargjof and Hertz car rental.
