What is oral tradition? How does oral tradition manifest in modern times, opposed to the past were individuals relied solely on memory to share stories and knowledge? Skaftfell´s art education project for winter 2016-2017 is a travelling art workshop were the concept of oral tradition is analysed as well as the transformation when its recorded. Every room can be heard as an acoustic system consisting of a number of layers: it has its own sonic life; its resonance shapes the sounds produced in it; it acts as a filter for the whole sounding of the world at the same time as being just a tiny part of it.
