Seyðisfjörður Print Workshop is a collaborative project dedicated to offering professional printmaking facilities and taught courses for local and visiting artists and students of all age groups. The new facilities, established in 2021/2022 with two grants from the Incentive Fund, are housed in Öldugata 14 and offer rentable space and equipment for silkscreen, intaglio (linocut, woodcut, etching), letterprint and various hand printing techniques. They are replacing the shared printmaking facilities, which were located in the Technical Museum of East Iceland and were completely destroyed in the landslides of December 2020 (see our archived page about the old print workshop here). Tvísöngur
Tvísöngur is an artwork and open venue by the German artist Lukas Kühne. It was opened for the public on September 5, 2012. Embedded in the mountainside above the town of Seyðisfjörður, in a quiet area with breathtaking views of the fjord, it is dedicated to the exploration of space, sound, and frequency.
