Olivia Louvel is a French-born British artist, composer and researcher whose work draws on voice, computer music and digital narrative. Her work is presented in the form of sound recordings, live performance, sound art installations and video art. Her practice is built upon a long-standing exploration of the voice, sung, or spoken, and its manipulation through digital technology as a compositional method. Welcoming Victoria!
Skaftfell warmly welcomes Victoria Torboli, a Finnish art student at the School of Fine Arts of Satakunta University of Applied Sciences, in Kankaanpää, Finland who has been given an Erasmus internship to work in Iceland this summer. As Skaftfell’s curatorial intern, Victoria will receive visitors in Skaftfell’s gallery and provide information about The Arctic Creatures exhibition, Skaftfell, and public artworks in Seyðisfjörður. She will also work collaboratively on workshops and summer programs.
