She moved to Iceland, where she worked as a translator from Arabic to English for the Icelandic Directorate of Immigration and the LGBTQIA+ organization Samtökin78. Skaftfell announcing the opening of its summer exhibition The Arctic Creatures Revisited, on view to the public from May 6 – August 20, 2023. The exhibition features more than 20 photographs by The Arctic Creatures, a a collective of three artists — visual artist Hrafnkell Sigurdsson, filmmaker and director Óskar Jónasson, and actor/theatre director Stefán Jónsson.
