Amy Knoles – electronic performance

Electronic musician and percussionist Amy Knoles (US) performs a unique electronic performance in Seyðisfjarðarkirkja, church of Seyðisfjörður. The event will take place Wednesday May 24 at 21.00 and is organized in collaboration with Monika Fryčová and the Blue Factory. Amy will play two compositions during the concert. Crazy N*****, a reference to a series by composer Julius Eastman (1940 – 1990), followed by a response piece entitled 9:8:7:5:4:3:1. A few days later Amy, with contribution of artists Monika Fryčová and Vasco Costa, will perform in Raflost, the Icelandic Festival of Electronic Arts. Admission is 1.000 ISK, cash and card. Stereoskin

British artist Mary Hurrell concludes her residency stay with a live audio visual presentation entitle Stereoskon. The presentation will take place Friday April 28 at 18:30 in the cinema of Herðubreið and is approx 20 minutes. Mary Hurrell works with performance and sculpture to explore choreography of the body, space, sound and object. Exploring the embodiment of psychological and emotional states, the sensual and synaesthesia. The work shifts in constellations of stasis and motion, sound and silence, absent and present physicality. Hurrell graduated from BA Dance and Visual Arts, University of Brighton (2004) and MA Sculpture, Royal College of Art (2011).
