September 23 – December 31, 2022, Skaftfell Bistro BERND KOBERLING Haust | Autumn – Loðmundarfjördur The Painterly Self Now on view in the bistro is an installation of watercolors by the renowned German artist Bernd Koberling (Berlin, 1930), who has summered in neighboring Loðmundarfjörður since 1977, when he was first introduced to the East Fjords by Dieter Roth. The ten watercolors were all executed in the autumn of 1998, the year of Skaftfell’s founding nearly 25 years ago.
