Six works by local artist Geiri, Ãsgeir Jón Emilsson (1931-1999), have been lend to MetroArts à Brisbane, Australia, to be on display in group exhibition. The exhibition is entitled A ship called she and is curated by Catherine or Kate, Australian artists that stayed in Skaftfell´s residency in the last year. Recently they took part in the residency program of MetroArts and this exhibition is a product of that stay. Call for applications
Skaftfell Residency Program hereby calls for applications for a Residency stay with a grant courtesy of KulturKontaktNord. Nordic and Baltic artists are eligible to apply for a 2 month residency with full grant between November 2012  January 2013. The living/working facilities will be at Skaftfells residency apartment at the Skaftfell  Center for Visual Art in Seyðisfjörður.
