The Icelandic part of the international collaboration project Frontiers of Solitude is currently ongoing. A group of artists is on an expedition through Iceland and visiting various locations in South, East and North of Iceland where the untapped sources of renewable energy water, steam, and wind as well as the impacts of hydro- and geothermal power plants on the landscape and on local micro-economies, can be observed. Lecture – Frontiers of Solitude
Curator Markus Þór Andrésson will give a lecture in Herubreid Community Centre, as a part of the international collaboration project Frontiers of Solitude. Markus will present Icelandic artists and exhibitions dating from 1971 with a focus on visual art and ecology, environmental protection and sustainability.
