Frontiers of Solitude is a collaborative project between Skolska Gallery in Prague (CZ), Atelier Nord in Oslo (NO), and Skaftfell Center for Visual Art in Seyðisfjörður (IS), which is now coming to an end. From April 2015 to April 2016 Frontiers of Solitude has worked with 20 artists through a series of field expeditions, workshops, lectures, symposia, and exhibitions. Students from the fine art department at the Iceland Academy of the Arts participate in the annual “Workshop Seyðisfjörður”. This is the sixteenth workshop and is lead by Björn Roth and Kristján Steingrímur. The duration of the workshop is two weeks and concludes with an exhibition opening Saturday March 5 at 16.00 in the Skaftfell gallery. On exhibition at new works produced over the period.
